“I must admit everything went way above my expectation”
THRiVE is all about building capacity and creating critical mass of African health research leaders undertaking world class research in Africa. This is made possible through collaboration and exchange of scientific knowledge with Northern partners (University of Cambridge and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). Through that collaborative platform, Robert Kayaa, THRiVE PhD fellow managed to visit LSHTM in January this year, where he had the opportunity to meet Prof. Chris Drakeley (my LSHTM collaborator) and other renowned malaria researchers at the school. The aim of the visit was to discuss his research project with the team and have the chance to visit Malaria Research Laboratory.
